Description
The Baklouti is Tunisia's most iconic pepper, a large long conical variety reaching 15–20 cm. Its thick-fleshed pods ripen from bright green to vivid red with mild heat and a fruity, slightly sweet flavor. An indispensable ingredient in North African cuisine, it is the traditional base of harissa, Tunisia's famous chili paste, and is also used fresh in salads and cooked dishes.
