Description
The Chi Chien, or Chicken Claw Pepper, is a Taiwanese chili variety whose small, elongated pods grow in clusters that spread outward like chicken claws. Ripening to vivid red with moderate to high heat and a fruity flavor, it is widely used in Taiwanese and Chinese cuisine in stir-fries, chili oils, and as a dried whole spice. Its productive habit and compact growth make it a staple of Asian kitchen gardens.
