Description
The Chilhuacle Amarillo is an important Oaxacan dried chili with a golden-yellow to orange color when dried. Its broad, wrinkled pods deliver mild heat and a fruity, earthy flavor with citrus undertones. One of three traditional chilhuacle varieties, it forms the backbone of Oaxacan mole amarillo and is used almost exclusively dried in slow-cooked sauces and soups.
