Description
The Chiltepín Amarillo is the yellow-ripening variant of the wild Chiltepín from northern Mexico. Like its red counterpart, its tiny round pods are harvested wild or semi-cultivated, delivering brief but intense heat with a fruity, citrusy flavor. With more pronounced citrus notes than the red variety, it is used in traditional Mexican salsas and condiments, particularly in the northwest of the country.
