The Guntur Sannam S4 is an improved selection of the classic Guntur Sannam chili, bred for higher yield, greater pod uniformity, and slightly elevated heat. Developed by agricultural researchers in Andhra Pradesh, its long, thin pods dry to a rich dark red with intensely earthy, pungent heat slightly exceeding the standard variety. A major commercial export variety used globally in spice blends, oleoresins, and the red chili powder used in Indian and international food processing.
