Description
The Maraş Biber is a celebrated Turkish chili from Kahramanmaraş province in southeastern Turkey, sun-dried and ground into coarse red flakes prized worldwide for their distinctive smoky, oily heat and complex fruity depth. Its long, tapered pods are harvested in autumn, dried in the sun, and cold-pressed to produce the naturally oily flakes that have earned Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status. A staple condiment of Turkish cuisine used on kebabs, eggs, cheeses, and meze, Maraş pepper flakes have become a celebrated chef's ingredient worldwide.
