Description

The Naga Morich also known as the Serpent Chili is a superhot pepper native to Bangladesh and the Assam region of northeastern India producing wrinkled conical pods that ripen from green to a vivid red with fruity floral notes preceding intense sustained heat above 1 million SHU. It is closely related to the Bhut Jolokia and considered one of the ancestral varieties of the Naga superhot pepper family used in traditional Bangladeshi and Assamese pickles and chutneys. Its extreme heat made it one of the first superhots to achieve international recognition before being surpassed by newer hybrids.
