Description
The NuMex Twilight is one of the most popular ornamental chili peppers in the world developed at New Mexico State University by Dr. Paul Bosland producing small upright pods that begin purple and progress through yellow orange and finally red creating a stunning multi-color display evoking the colors of a twilight sky. Multiple ripening stages coexist simultaneously on the plant making it a year-round decorative centerpiece in containers and garden borders while its moderate heat of 30,000-50,000 SHU means the fruits are genuinely edible with a fruity punch. Though grown primarily for beauty the pods can be harvested at any stage and used in cooking for authentic chili heat.
