Description
The Puma Pepper is a relatively new specialty chili originating from Italy believed to be a cross between Pimenta de Neyde and a golden Habanero producing striking pods of 5-7 cm that begin dark purple and ripen through gradient shades to golden yellow and burgundy with intense Capsicum chinense aroma. At 300,000-400,000 SHU it delivers heat slightly above habanero level combined with a genuinely fruity slightly smoky flavor that makes it ideal for artisanal hot sauces salsas and gourmet seasoning blends. Its visually dramatic color progression from deep purple to golden makes it as attractive in the garden as it is formidable in the kitchen.
