Description
The Shishito is a slender Japanese pepper producing wrinkled pods of 5-10 cm harvested green with very low heat of 50-200 SHU though one in ten is randomly spicier. Its mild smoky and slightly grassy flavor makes it a popular snack pepper enjoyed blistered in a pan with salt as an appetizer in Japanese and contemporary American cuisine.
