Description

The TAM 2 Jalapeño is a very mild jalapeño-type pepper developed at Texas A&M University with heat reduced to just 1,000-1,500 SHU while maintaining the classic jalapeño shape with thick cylindrical pods of 7-8 cm ripening from green to red and the characteristic grassy fresh flavor. Bred for food industry use where jalapeño flavor is desired without the heat it is popular in mild salsas and pickled pepper products.
