Description
The Wiri Wiri is a small round chili native to Guyana producing cherry-sized pods of 1-2 cm that ripen from green through yellow to red or orange with 100,000-350,000 SHU. Despite its tiny size it packs intense fruity Capsicum chinense heat with a pleasant sweetness. A staple of Guyanese cuisine it is used fresh in pepper sauces and as a traditional condiment and is considered a national culinary symbol of Guyana.
