Description

The Yatsufusa (meaning "eight clusters" in Japanese) is a traditional Japanese chili closely related to Takanotsume producing small straight pods of 5-7 cm that grow in upward-facing clusters and ripen to brilliant red. With 20,000-75,000 SHU it delivers a clean sharp heat widely used in Japanese cooking. Dried and used whole in stir-fries pickling brines and spice preparations it is one of Japan's classic culinary chilies alongside Takanotsume.
